Control v contra

To “exert authority” that is the meaning of “control”. Very applicable when you think about your journey through life. Put it this way: “if you do not control your destination, someone (or something) will”. Surely this is what “growing-up” means. To, progressively take more and more control over who you are and where you’re going. This is the ultimate in empowerment and the one thing everybody reaches for.

Blaming your past does nothing for growth. Accusing “them”, “they” and “those” just consume time and energy. Yes, some things we cannot change, but we should at least keep control over our attitude towards our environment. This provides a sense of achievement when I can claim my own success and failures. I am alive, in control and enjoying it!

Yip… so true! For how long do you still need to blame your parents, family, brother, sister, children, boss, friends, co-workers for all the bad experiences in your past?!
Thanks, I enjoy your notes. Great to know I can join the ‘positive’ brigade.
